Inland originally formed in May 28th, 2021 when two long-time friends (Eddie Legg and Frank Matthews) had a desire to start a band to cover country and rock music for local venues and festivals in the Pee Dee region of northeastern South Carolina. After Joe Dellapi joined the band to play bass guitar, they didn't have to look much longer as the remaining members of the band came from very close (and talented) family friends (The Allens - Dori Allen, Caleb Allen, & Kaden Allen).
With a similar broad spectrum of musical influences and genres, Inland began working hard to build a variety of songs into their repertoire. They played a few local venues in the summer of 2021 and were soon requested to perform some larger festivals in the greater Florence area in the fall of 2021.
Since the start, the band has also had the fortune to include a very talented violinist (Savannah Elgin) to the lineup. Her love of music from all genres along with her talented ear for music and classically trained background has added quite a depth to the group's capabilities and sound.
